Life Happens When You're Not Lookin

 Five Fun Facts Friday
Back to Full Blog

1.  My grandfather Gallahger said he used to run booze across the Detroit river in his teens-He was Irish though, and loved to tell a good story!

2.  My grandmother divorced him and remarried an Italian guy, who owned a bar and was a bookie too.  That one I know is true!

3.  My mother was married and pregnant by 18.  My grandmother was pregnant with my Uncle Joe the same time my mom was pregnant with me.  We were born 18 days apart-he was born first.

4.  I am the oldest of four kids-my sister is 13 months younger than me.  The other two siblings are brothers, they are in their late thirties.

5.  Both my sister and I have been married 3 times and have four kids.  She has two boys and two girls.  I have four sons (but you knew that!)

We were very close as kids-my sister and I thought he was very funny, especially when we were very little, he really was into potty humor! We grew apart as teens and now we see each other maybe once a year if we're lucky! My mother barely tolerates him, too. They were never really close. Thanks Colo for stopping by-great to see you!

I had a nephew who was same age as me, and he was my first and best friend when I was a little girl, so I can relate to that.

Very interesting facts, enjoyed reading it.

Very Interesting Grand mom you have, choosing quite the characters to be married to.
I have an odd fact in my family that we find humorous. I hope it explains well. My cousin Rick, who is the oldest in a family of 7, married again to Marriane who has three daughters. Rick's brother (and my cousin) Keith married one of the daughters. Keith and Tammy both adopted twins, now, is Rickand Marriane their Aunt and Uncle or Grandmother and Grandfather? *grins wide*

OOOF! Oh my brain-Grandma and Uncle? Wow, this is one of those truth is stranger than fiction things, isn't it?? Just when I think my life has been so, um, "colorful." That situation makes me look like a Crayola 16 crayon color box, while they have the big Crayola 64-complete with sharpener!! LOL Thanks for stopping by WP!
